Frequently Asked Questions
Most of it comes down to space, timing and who is paying for the drinks.

Here are the questions we get asked most. If yours is not answered, ring us — we would rather have a two minute conversation than have you guessing.
FAQ's
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier the better, particularly for Saturdays between May and September, which go first. That said, it is always worth asking about a late date — we sometimes have gaps.
Booking, Deposit & Cancellation Policy
Your event date is secured with the bar hire fee plus a refundable £200 security deposit paid upon booking, with any remaining balance due 30 days before the event. Where a minimum spend applies, no security deposit is required.
The bar hire fee is non-refundable. Once your booking is confirmed, we commit to your date and remove it from our calendar, turning away other enquiries for that day.
Bookings cancelled less than 30 days before the hire date incur 100% of the bar hire fee and security deposit.
Pre-Paid Balances
Any pre-paid elements of your event — including bar tabs, table wine, water, and welcome drinks packages — must be paid in full 30 days before your event.
Bar Tab Settlement
Any bar tab run on the night must be settled in full at the completion of the event.
Force Majeure
In the rare event that your wedding or event needs to be postponed due to circumstances beyond your control, we will do our best to accommodate a new date at our discretion, provided we don't already have another booking confirmed for that day.
Our Commitment to You
If we are unable to fulfil your booking for any reason on our part, we will provide a full refund of all monies paid and will do everything we can to help you find a suitable replacement.
Do you cover corporate events?
Yes. Work parties, company celebrations, product launches and staff events. The same bars and the same packages apply.
Oops, we broke a glass!
Breakages
We understand that occasional glass breakages happen at any event and we do not charge for this as standard. However, where a significant quantity of glassware is broken as a result of excessively careless behaviour, we reserve the right to charge for the replacement at cost price.
BYO?
Beverage Policy
We pride ourselves on offering excellent service and value for money. To help us continue doing so, guests are strictly forbidden from bringing their own alcohol unless agreed with us in advance — we'd be grateful if you could make your guests aware of this. Where this policy isn't followed, we reserve the right to withhold part or all of your deposit, or to charge the shortfall against your minimum spend where applicable.
As your event is still some way off, please bear in mind that prices may be subject to slight adjustment should inflation rise significantly in the meantime. We will always aim to honour the original quote wherever possible.
What We Need From You (On The Day)
To make sure we can set up and run your bar safely and smoothly, please ensure the following are in place:
- A power supply is available at the bar location
- A fresh drinking water source is available within reasonable reach of the bar location.
- The bar location is sheltered from the elements, either indoors or under a temporary structure (we're happy to discuss options if this isn't possible).
- The ground where the bar will be set up is as flat as possible (please flag any uneven or sloped areas in advance).
- There is a clear, accessible route for us to unload and set up the bar and equipment, and parking is available
- We are given access to the site in good time as agreed for setup.
Draught Beer Policy
Unlike a pub, we're unable to sell draught beer in the days following an event, so any beer left in a keg once it's been opened goes to waste. To protect against this, we apply the following:
- Under-consumption of a single keg: If draught beer is requested but we don't finish the keg we invoice you for the unused remainder at cost price.
- Multiple kegs: If several kegs are ordered for your event and we get through one (or more), we assess the likelihood of finishing another before opening it — based on time remaining and demand. For example, if the first keg took four hours to finish and there's only one hour left, it's very unlikely a second keg would be finished if opened. In that case, we switch to bottled beer instead. You would not be charged for any unopened kegs.
We can help you plan ahead — based on your number of guests and their expected appetite for draught products, we can help you assess what keg size and quantity might be needed.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold a personal licence and arrange the necessary Temporary Event Notice (TEN) for each event we serve at, so you don't need to worry about the legal side of things. We also carry full public liability insurance, giving you complete peace of mind on the day.
